For oral use.

Dosage:

– Treatment of hair loss due to biotin deficiency:

Adults: 5 mg to 10 mg daily.
The doctor may prescribe a different treatment regimen depending on the patient's needs and clinical symptoms.

– Treatment of biotinidase or biotin deficiency:

Children, infants, and adults: 5 – 20 mg/time/day.

– Treatment of carboxylase deficiency:

Initial dose:
Infants: 5 mg/time/day
Children and adults: 10 mg/time/day.

Maintenance dose:
Infants: 10 – 50 mg/day, can be up to 100 mg/day.
Infants, children, and adolescents under 18 years of age: only use this medication when directed by a doctor.

Note: Biotifem Max tablets (Biotin 10 mg) do not have dose markings for breaking the tablets. For doses requiring 5 mg, Biotin 5 mg tablets can be used.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to biotin or to any component of the drug.

Use of medication for pregnant and breastfeeding women

Pregnant women
The biotin content in Biotifem max tablets exceeds the recommended daily amount for pregnant women. There have been no studies on the use of high doses of biotin in pregnant women. Therefore, do not use this medication for pregnant women.

Breastfeeding women
The biotin content in Biotifem max tablets exceeds the recommended daily amount for breastfeeding women. Biotin is excreted in breast milk, but no effects have been observed in breastfed infants. Do not use this medication for breastfeeding women.

The effects of medication on the ability to drive and operate machinery

Biotin tablets have no or negligible effect on the ability to drive and operate machinery.
